Job 13

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re going to read Job 13.

Welcome to a new week! Hopefully, everyone is fully rested and ready for another week of Devotionals. You can read the passage on Page 2 of this blog post.

This passage is a continuation of Job’s reply to his friends and his willingness to stand for what he believes in. And here are some of the lessons we can take from it.

1. We should not be quick to judge others, for God is the only one who knows the entirety of a person.

If we do judge others without fully understanding them,

Would it turn out well if he (God) examined you? Could you deceive him as you might deceive a mortal?’

Job 13:9 NIV

2. If what you have to say is not helpful, kind or necessary then it is best to stay quiet.

‘If only you would be altogether silent! For you, that would be wisdom.’

Job 13:5 NIV

3. We shouldn’t be afraid if we know to ourselves that we haven’t done anything wrong or committed any sin, as Job did.

4. We don’t have to answer to anyone other than God, himself.

As I said on the first point, God is the only person who knows the entirety of a person. Our actions only need to be approved by God.

I want to say thank you to if they ever see this blog. They help me understand each verse a lot clearer and you can click the link if you want to have a look at the verse-by-verse explanation of this passage.
