안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re going to read Genesis 22.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible. You can read it on Page 2 of this blog post.
Now, this passage is titled Abraham Tested. I’m sure you already have your own idea of what it could mean and what lessons we can get just by that. But I would like to expand on it a little bit more.
I also want to incorporate yesterday’s lesson about not being afraid because today we’re taught to fear the Lord God. We shouldn’t be afraid if we know in our hearts that our intentions and actions are pure. That much is true.
On the other hand, we should fear God if we are to do things that are not in his will. He is an all-knowing and all-powerful God who have made everything and anything we perceive. He is also righteous and just, and if we stray away from his teachings he gives us time to set things straight. So, if we continue to act on our own accord, the repercussions may not be so great.
This passage is a duly reminder to us to be mindful of our actions and above all fear God. For he is the Almighty God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
