안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Genesis 48.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible with you. You can read it on page 2 of this blog post.
Now, in this passage, we are reminded of a lesson from Genesis 25. That sometimes it is the eldest who serves the youngest. Though it was a custom in those times to follow the right of primogeniture, blessings are given according to God’s will.
This passage also reminds us to honour our Father, by obeying their orders. As during those times, our father held the responsibility to uphold the family traditions and values. So, as long as it is in accordance with God’s will, obedience to your Father is a must.
Additionally, our father is not only our biological father. The Lord God is also our father and our obedience to him is as important. By reading our Bible, going to church and being a part of the congregation are duties we should practice. This is so we can understand what the Lord God wants us to do especially when we are lost.
