안녕하세요, family and friends. Today, we’re going to read Leviticus 10.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible or have not read this chapter before. You can read it on Page 2 of this blog post.
Churches and chapels are holy places where we worship and hear the word of the Lord. When we’re praying and the presence of the Lord is with us, we should also be present.
Going to church and attending mass just to socialise shouldn’t be it. However, sometimes we are more attentive to our busy lives instead of paying attention to the word of God. These are things that we should avoid doing when we’re at Church. Posing as someone who is listening when in reality the mind is somewhere else. This happens when we’re talking to another person too and it is disrespectful. It is unreasonable to be disengaged in what the other person is saying if you’re in a conversation.
Picture this. You are in a conversation with someone who is really important to you.
Now, imagine you are telling a story to this important person. However, instead of listening to you, they start talking to the person next to them. Or maybe even divert their attention to their phone. What would you feel?
That’s why, as much as possible, it is best to be present when you attend mass or participate in a bible study. Listen and really understand what the word of the Lord is saying.
When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.The Dalai Lama
