Numbers 22

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today, we’re going to read Numbers 22.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible. You can read it on Page 2 of this blog post.

When you request something from God through prayer and he says no, what do you do? Do you let your emotions get the best of you, sulk and lose faith in Him?

There are times when we think we really want something at a specific time in our lives and it may feel like it’s the most important thing at that moment. However, when God refuses to let us reach in and grab it we shouldn’t be quick to lose faith in him.

God’s work is very intricate and complex that we won’t ever have enough intellectual capacity to fully understand it. We do have to appreciate it though; appreciate and accept that we do not know his ways in the same way he understands us and all of his creation.

When God tells us no, there may be tons of reasons as to why. He is all-knowing and he has knowledge of what’s ahead of us long before we get there.

Maybe we aren’t ready yet to receive whatever it is we requested.

Maybe it would lead us to ruin. Or there’s something better out there and he’s telling us to be patient. Maybe we need to have this waiting time so when it finally comes we know how to be grateful for it. Or maybe, God is testing our faith and dedication. Is it really something we need and want in our lives?

Regardless of the reason for our denied request we should always be grateful to God for the things that we currently have. Let’s be content with the life we’re living and the people in it. Then, perhaps, when the time is right our requests will be accepted and it would be better than we ever expected it to be.
