Deuteronomy 1

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Deuteronomy 1.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible. You can read it on Page 2 of this blog post.

This first chapter of Deuteronomy can tell us a lot about ourselves, our society and of course, our God.

One lesson we can take from this chapter is that alone we are limited with the things we can do. Our individual skills and expertise are very standard and it can only take us up as far as it can. Sometimes, it may not even take us there at all.

However, if we do everything in the name of God, Jesus Christ… No matter if we don’t have a great deal of knowledge or skills about the subject, we would be able to get through it better than what we could’ve done alone. God is our glory and our greatest supporter.

Another lesson we can learn is that when appointing our leaders, we should wise. We should choose those who has the interest of the people at heart and one who fears the Lord.

Our appointed leaders should be just and responsible.

We shouldn’t be too proud of what we have achieved for the glory of our wins are not ours alone. We share that glory with God because without his blessing we wouldn’t be where we are now.

I think it’s so easy to forget about gratitude when we’re at our highs. So, please take a moment and just say, “Thank you Lord God, Jesus Christ. Without you I have nothing but with you I have everything.”
