안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Deuteronomy 6.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a physical copy of the Bible. You can read it on page 2 of this blog post.
This chapter is the commandments that our Jewish brothers and sisters follow, according to my CBB Revised Edition of the Bible.
As a Christian, this chapter is still very much relevant to our belief. We should love our God and only worship him. I may be guilty of this greatest sin. I do find some fascination with the different Gods and beliefs in other cultures. In my defence, if this is one, I don’t worship any of the other Gods, I am merely curious. Is this a sin?
“for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land.”
Deuteronomy 6:15
I guess, I have to remind myself that this jealous God was of old. Surely, our God, isn’t a jealous God but a patient and forgiving one.
