안녕하세요, family and friends. Today, we’re going to read Psalm 115.
Remember when I said gratitude is a running theme in the Bible? Well, here’s another one of those. Praise the Lord for the achievements we receive.
Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.Psalm 115:1 – NIV
This psalm also encourages us to trust in the Lord. When he puts us in difficult situations, trust that he will show us the way forward. Trust that his words and his ways will get us through each day.
God shields us from any harm. There is always a purpose for everything that the Lord God throws at us. So, we should always trust in him. Our loyalties should stay with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Here’s a question…
Should we keep calling K-pop artists, idols?
When I read the Psalm title on my Bible, I felt guilty. “God’s people have no idols,” it said. But here I was, head over heels for a K-pop boyband. They are called idols, but after reading this psalm I feel like I shouldn’t.
The word idol has a completely different meaning nowadays as the Korean Pop Music continues to soar through the charts. An idol is someone you worship, right? As a Christian, shouldn’t the word idol be reserved for God?
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
