Psalm 146

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Psalm 146.

Perhaps the verse that stood out to me the most about today’s reading is this.

” Do not put your trust in princes, in a great one, who cannot save. “

Psalm 146:3 CCB

As the pandemic continues to take lives. As worldly issues take over our lives and put it in panic. Trusting in mere human beings to save us shouldn’t be our go-to.

I see a lot of people on social media bashing and calling out their governments and other world leaders. Focusing their energy on what’s going wrong and what these leaders are not doing right. When instead, those energy could be poured towards something good.

What is this something good?

It is prayers. Actions. Donations. Volunteering. Self-discipline. Trusting in God, Jesus Christ.

All of these things can do a lot more to save others and ourselves than waiting on others. God, Jesus Christ has saved us before and he can easily do it again over and over.

Why does it take so many times for us to understand that?

Our Lord will always be with us, through this pandemic, through any heart-aches or despair. Let’s just seek him out and continue to do good because I know we can all do it!
