Psalm 148

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Psalm 148.

Christianity has a lot of different denominations. Namely: Catholics, Protestants, Oriental Orthodox, Jehovah’s Witness, Latter Day Saint and many more.

What is a denomination?

“a religious group that has slightly different beliefs from other groups that share the same religion”

dictionary.cambridge.org

Perhaps one of the main difference between Protestantism and Catholicism is the openness to Papal Supremacy. Roman Catholics believe that the Pope is the first head of the church, appointed by Jesus. The successor to Peter the Apostle. On the other hand, Protestantism doesn’t subject themselves to this belief.

Despite these differences though, our goal is essentially the same. Both denominations believe in Christ Jesus to be the messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Bible. All of the denominations under Christianity teachings follow the Bible and the life of Jesus Crhist.

This Psalm reminds us, although we differ in how we worship and we are united in who it is we worship. The Lord, our God, Jesus Christ.

Our differences shouldn’t keep us apart but instead unite us through understanding. Confusion and the failure to accept the differences are easy way ins for conflict and the evil one. So, let us not be too caught up with our differences. Let us not be too focused on the way others are living or worshipping.

Our sole focus should always and only be in praising the Lord, Jesus Christ through everything that we say, think or do.
