Judges 7

안녕하세요, family and friends. Today we’re reading Judges 7.

This chapter teaches us the importance of humility. Numbers do not matter, God does.

“There are too many people with you. If I give the Midianites into their hands, the Israelites might think that they won over the Midianites by their own strength.”

Judges 7:2 Ccb

Humility – a modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness.

Practising humility encourages us to acknowledge God’s work. There are many times when we get too overly confident with our own strength/knowledge. Just for us to stumble down a little bit closer to where we started.

Everything we do should always be with God and for our God, Jesus Christ. Quality over quantity. This has always been part of God’s teaching. God chose his only son, Jesus. Jesus Christ only chose 13 disciples. Still, Christianity has become one of the most practiced religion in the whole world.

Our strength is not in our numbers but is in the quality of our work.

A quick disclaimer, my devotionals do not coincide with the gospels of the day. I am reading the Bible chronologically and that is what I follow for my everyday Bible reading and devotional. Thank you for understanding.

If you want to read the full chapter. You can, on page 2 of this blog post.

To say thank you to my readers for taking the time to read. Keep safe and keep praying.
